I was able to open the bag and remove the first bag without incident. I was disappointed. I have a rectangular kitchen hatch under the garbage counter. When opening the package, all four corners of the 10"X13" glass are not folded, so I have to be very careful when inserting and removing. I'm sure it works better with other bins I have as they have rounded corners. The bags seem strong enough for kitchen scraps, food leftovers etc and I will use them and give more feedback; and I am sure they are good for other household rubbish, fabrics, papers etc from the bins in my bedroom and bathroom.
