I don't usually write reviews because I never have to. But I wanted to warn people who are buying this product with the intention of using it WITHOUT any type of cover over your tank (i.e. metal mesh covers). I hate the idea of using this product to keep a lightbulb afloat with an animal in it, this product is thin on the outside and I'm not entirely sure why it has some 5 star reviews. I bought a stand with a holding lamp (2pcs) to hold a heat lamp and a UVA/UVB lamp for my turtle tank. This is a standard 130 gallon tub, so it's bigger and definitely taller. This product is too short even too big for me, I need to buy 1 or 2 more extenders to make it work for me. I have a 40 gallon and a 20 gallon and I wouldn't even use this product on them lol. I pre-measured and knew it would be tight but figured I could make it work if it was strong enough.... and it was the opposite of that lol. If I want this product to work at all I would have to buy some kind of glue or foam to hold the metal bars together. I should have checked better how the metal bars attach to each other based on the photos provided but unfortunately I didn't. The round bar hits the square trough like the rest of the bars. The screws are too short and the screw threads are patchy. All of this calls for electric shock to the animal or to you. This product costs around $30 for the quality a little less than $15. If you look at the photos that the product gives you, you can see that a screw is used to connect one of the metal rods (round) for stable compression. Attempting to compress a round object with a flat-bottomed screw that you can't tighten enough due to the design of the product and the length of the screw is ridiculous. Especially if it can withstand significant weight, through which electricity flows, through water, and with an animal in it. This may work for smaller tanks and seems to have worked for some people based on reviews but I would NOT recommend this product at all especially if you have a tank larger than 20 gallons and if there is water in that tank located. it, and if it has no network coverage. Please check the product descriptions for the best way to hold the lamp, don't skimp on things that could catch fire or shock you or your animals.... I ran out of $60 and I'm hoping to get that back. In other words, literally wtf LMFAOTLDR; Not for people who have aquariums or tanks larger than 20 gallons without a lid. The product is equivalent to finding 4 random sticks, glue them together and attach a string to hold the lamp. I wouldn't even pay $15 for this thing lol it's not even worth $30 at all. Please try something other than this product for the safety of you and your pets!
