When I saw tools with the same function cost at least twice as much (and sometimes four times as much!) in regular stores I decided to take a chance , nevertheless some people were not satisfied with their purchase. This tool looks well built with quality fit and finish of the components. It comes with a calibration gauge in case it ever needs adjustment. It's pretty easy to use, but I'll say it takes a little strength to work. It's definitely a "two-handed" tool (at least for the ferrules to start crimping). I will also say that this tool is not designed to work in tight spaces as the arms have to be spread quite far apart to get the connection onto the crimp. However, this is how it works and does not deserve the deduction of an asterisk. I have not had to remove a crimp terminal with this system and the instructions emphasize that this tool is not designed for that, but it appears that the terminals can be easily removed with a screwdriver or pliers. Overall I believe this tool will last for years for many DIY PEX plumbing projects!
