Will NOT work with Zurn clips (ACE hardware).

When purchasing this product, it is first important to remember the following: It uses CLAMP STYLE PEX clamps, NO SMOOTH RINGS! A lot of people have complained that it's difficult to install, but it worked for me right away. The tool is well made and well packaged. I wish I could go ahead and give it 5 stars but here's the problem. There's a Home Depot in town, but a clip was missing and I ran to my local ACE gear to get more. BIG MISTAKE! Where HD offers the SharkBite brand clips, ACE offers…

Good economic PEX RCA terminal but useless calibration procedure

The only thing I don't like about it is the inclusion of a useless calibration procedure. The procedure requires adjusting the calibration knob so that the gap between the jaws is 0.039 inches, the thickness of the original end of the calibration tool. The shape of the jaws sets this measurement at 0.045" when the jaws are closed. No amount of adjustment will reduce the gap between the jaws! If the tool has about 1/2 inch overtravel at the handle ends, measured between the closing the cam and…

Great price, good workmanship and easy to use!

When I saw tools with the same function cost at least twice as much (and sometimes four times as much!) in regular stores I decided to take a chance , nevertheless some people were not satisfied with their purchase. This tool looks well built with quality fit and finish of the components. It comes with a calibration gauge in case it ever needs adjustment. It's pretty easy to use, but I'll say it takes a little strength to work. It's definitely a "two-handed" tool (at least for the ferrules to…

Great for 3/4 " or less - not so much for 1 "

I bought this tool for a home project as this model is cheaper than traditional copper ring pliers and you can use it in tighter spaces, and one tool and one head handles all clamps up to 1 inch. The tool came with a pass/fail gauge and was factory set to specification and ready to use. It works great on all rings up to 3/4" rings. Easy to grip handles, smooth operation, and good strong sealing crimps. My only complaint about this tool is that, even though it's designed to work with 1" pipe…

Must have if you have PEX plumbing

This is a great item. I find crimp rings easier to use than copper crimp rings. Crimp rings require a bit of practice to crimp properly and are nearly impossible to use in tight spaces. These clamp rings are much easier to use. This tool is well built and the ratcheting mechanism makes clamping the rings easy. Crimping tools require a lot of crimping force, but this tension tool doesn't. I bought 3/8 clamps from my local big box orange store. PEX piping is much easier to use than copper. In my…

Save money - order.

I was looking for a PEX crimping tool at my big hardware store. Both wanted a lot more money for the PEX crimping tool. Not having much to do I didn't want to spend that much money on something that probably won't be used often, especially since I only had to make two crimps to reattach some fittings to the two hoses I needed. I found and ordered the IWISS PEX crimping tool and am glad I did. It's very similar to the ones I've seen in big stores but cheaper. The quality of this instrument seems
