So I started out by really liking this one, but not as much anymore. Lots of functions aren't a problem as the button gets stuck and you have to press it onto the bottom of the tape measure to release it. They don't stand out for very long. I think the max is 6 feet. For carpentry work that involves building anything outdoors (barns, houses, concrete, etc.), don't take these. Measure everything after rain or snow and all you have is rust on your band as the coating peels off fairly easily. There isn't much protection on the first 10 inches of the tape either. Mine broke about 7 inches. It's quite durable as it can withstand a few drops. internal setting.
