This T-Square is red but not Woodpecker (WP) quality; However, it doesn't cost nearly as much as the WP T-Square. As long as you know what you want you will be happy with this purchase. The quality of the metal is worse than WP, but I found the accuracy to be near perfect. Due to the lack of space in my garage workshop, I use a table saw and other powered tools that are best for quick setup and teardown. I expect a lot from my instruments, but I don't expect perfection. This gauge isn't perfect, but it's good enough for the price. When I want perfection in a measuring tool, I buy the WP brand and I have a lot of them, but sometimes I can do with less quality. This purchase was one of those cases. I hang it next to my WP tools and it doesn't look out of place. Just think of it this way: if you're completely unsatisfied you can return it, but if you need some of it you got it at a great price and didn't have to pay more than $100 for the same tool in VP .
