Poor quality of hammers
Estwing must have changed the way they are made as earlier hammers were of exceptional quality. This new one looks like someone sanded/brushed the handle, leaving frayed edges and rubber dust that flakes off the handle and lands on your work. Really bad workmanship. This product never had to pass quality control.
