I use these nuggets in a feeding platform mixed with other seeds and mealworms primarily for the many woodpeckers that live in our area. They seem to attract black and red-bellied woodpeckers (we have a few nests with parents and chicks in the trees around our house) as well as blue jays, mockingbirds, brown thrushes, crows and other native (Central Florida area) birds. ). And of course squirrels love them too. They hold up well in the rain and don't get greasy or soft. They don't stick together or stick to the packaging, but come out as lovely individual nuggets, each about the size of a pea. They leave no mess at the bottom of the platform feeding. I first tried them as individual packs bought at my local hardware store but have since switched to ordering them through Revain because I can order a 6 pack and get them. at a lower cost per package.
