Protects the remote from my wife's hand cream!
My wife's lotioned hands bled enough lotion to seep into the remote and cause problems with the button and circuit board contacts. Sometimes she fell asleep with him in her arms. I would disassemble and clean the remote, but that created problems of its own. I was so happy to find this case.
