The pictures are a bit misleading as the angel shaped dolls are not the same size as regular peg shaped dolls. Sizes are given, but there are no photos of the painted figures in this set. Dolls with a female figure are very difficult for a small child to balance because the base is the narrowest part of the doll. The smallest dolls are really small for toddlers (choking hazard) so I'll probably put them away. The total number of figures that can actually be used for preschool play does not make this set the cheapest price. They appear to be well made and I love the tray although my pieces don't fit in as well as the pictures show.
