I've tried boosting my wireless signal below a bit, thought it would help. My Wi-Fi hub is in the office in a corner of the floor. I used a Wi-Fi analyzer to measure the 2.4GHz and 5GHz signal throughout the ground floor before and after installation. They didn't give a noticeable constant difference in either measured signal strength or bandwidth anywhere in the house. However, you inspired me to buy a range extender. Warning: I'm no scientist, so it's possible they're obscurely useful beyond my layman's faculty of measurement. But above is the information I gathered using Wi-Fi finders and a Wi-Fi analyzer on a laptop around the world, with numbers averaged both before and after installing these antennas.
