I bought this a month ago and installed it in my daughter's Kia Rio. Since then it has worked flawlessly. The only thing I would caution DIYers about installation is that Kia's engine design makes the relatively trivial task of replacing a starter motor SIGNIFICANT. If an old launcher was available, you could easily install it in 5 or 10 minutes. Instead, we watched several YouTube videos to find out what parts of the motor needed to be removed or disassembled (battery and bracket, air filter, and various wiring). What should have been 10 minutes is closer to 3 hours! Make sure YOU are learning and have the right keys AND a helper (preferably with small hands). Some steps require two people. I think the "silver lining" here is that it's YOUR job and you're not paying the dealer/mechanic for 2 hours of YOUR time.
