This is one of the best buys I've ever made. We have lived in our house for about 9 years. There was a regular fire alarm right next to our kitchen. The alarm constantly detects cooking smoke and steam. This means that every fire alarm in the house will go off. We should have turned on the alarm or tried to hit the reset button. Let me just say that I was very angry and upset that the builders of our home placed an alarm like this so close to the kitchen. I replaced it with this alarm clock. Since then not a single false alarm! What a wonderful thing! I can cook bacon and never set off that stupid fire alarm again.
