Product is generally fine. I may modify it to make it better. The fabric behind the buckle to protect the boat from the buckle would be better if it were a little wider. The narrow strap with velcro to hold the excess wide strap and provide backup for keeping the buckle in place would be better if the velcro was longer along the ends of that narrow strap. I couldn't fasten that velcro strap as tight as I'd prefer because the velcro is very short, so doesn't provide much positioning flexibility. It's good enough that I won't return it, but these design tweaks would improve it. I'll probably modify it accordingly, but it frustrates me when I need to modify brand new things because my design sense is better than the supplier's. I have no idea if competitor products would be any different. My original OEM straps that came with the boat were better in both of these respects.
