Has a clean modern look. But I didn't order for cosmetic reasons, but for practical reasons. Installed on the door of my workshop. Often you have to open with full hands. This type of lever allows me to open them with my elbow, knee, or even my foot! Much easier than turning a knob. It is very well made and installs just as easily as any other door handle. Runs very smooth and tight. The smart key worked the way I wanted it to and now it fits the house key and any other lock. Over the years I've even bought smart key padlocks for my sheds and other appliances. One key does everything for me. If you hate a big key ring, I recommend smart key locks. Note: Smart Key locks are also MUCH more secure than regular Kwikset locks. Check out YouTube, it's shocking how easy it is to beat the normal ones! The only reason I took off a star is that when installing on a left hand wing door (like mine) the lock slot needs to be upside down. If the handle (secured with a set screw) could be reversed, this would not be necessary. However, the handle only has a grub screw hole on one side and cannot be reversed or changed. Small oversight but could have been done better in my opinion. Even with that minor blemish, it does exactly what I need it to do. Really good pen and a good balance of security, functionality and style it offers.
