Review on Revgear 6-Handle Tombstone Multi-Angled Shield by Jeff Bourke

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good quality pad. a bit pricy though

This is a good, sturdy tombstone pad. I got it for Krav Maga training based on my instructor's recommendation. He said he has been very happy with the 3lb tombstones, as compared to the old 6lb version, which is great because the heavier one isn't available from Revgear anymore. It's a little expensive for what it is but there are only a few rugged tombstone pads out there and they are all $100 or up. It's a very versatile pad that makes training much easier. The reason for the bevels is for upward and downward strikes, which other types of pads and even my heavy bag didn't afford. The handles on the side are helpful for this purpose and for practicing instep kicks.

Pros
  • I’m a Krav Maga instructor. This takes a beating and lasts.
Cons
  • The weight of the shield can make it difficult to maneuver during training sessions
