I'll be brief. I purchased this tarp from Revain on September 11, 2011 and used it as a canopy cover. He observed the extreme weather conditions of the deep south without interruption for 3 years and 7 months. Only yesterday (04/26/2015) it finally gave up after a very windy hailstorm and broke in two halves. I immediately ordered another one as a replacement. I didn't have any upholstery issues as other reviews have reported. Considering the cost which is $17.76 per year of use. I hope you find this information useful! UPDATE (11/05/2018): So I finally gave up the tarpaulin I ordered in April 2015 and ordered a new one. It lasts 3 years and 6 months outdoors and costs $18.14 per year. This last one also failed during a storm. The weak point is in the seam that runs through the center, so the design is in two parts. It's still a 5 star tarp compared to others I've used in the past. Used as a 10 x 20 foot carport cover, the tarp must withstand the extreme weather conditions of southern Louisiana. If left in the sun 24 hours a day it will eventually rot, but it will last 3.5 years of such abuse. I'll report back in 3.5 years.
