Review on 🔥 High-Temperature Replacement Gasket Kit for LG XL Big Green Egg Ceramic Lid Top with Nomex Material by Orwin Greener

It's only been a few weeks but so far so good after many brews. I installed this seal on my large Big Green Egg as a replacement for the factory seal. I didn't have to apply silicone, RTV heat sealant, monkey snot, or bat droppings. Just peel off the old gasket, remove the old glue, which was relatively easy in my case, I cleaned the surface with lacquer thinner, let it dry (10 minutes to be safe) and carefully glued the new gasket in, not taking care to let the gasket in. a protrusion in the egg, and that was it. I used it the next day, just a coincidence as no 'treatment' was required. If it fails in the future I will change my rating but for now I recommend this product. Update 08/24/17: I just changed my pad again last week. Not because of elevator failure. We use this green egg ALL the time and the pod filled up with grease from many hours of smoking but the pod NEVER failed. If the above instructions are followed and very heavy use is used, a year is more than life expectancy. No complaints.
