I was hesitant to spend that kind of money on a small simple tool but this is a life saver when replacing a 4runners timing belt. One side wanted to reverse time when I stretched the strap and ended up taking the strap off 3 times before I got it right. Each time resetting the tensioner has helped. DRIVE SLOWLY while squeezing the tensioner. This tool is not suitable for toothed belts. Remove it first, pull and pull some more.
