Great sturdy sled and we've seen it used. However, as noted by the complaints about lack of retractable towing rope/string, the product is in bad need of better instructions. Maybe the rope/string was attached and came apart during shipping, so probably could use adding something to the instructions about how to reattach so it works. For all those out there that aren't gearheads, never really tinkered with anything, never really put things together or took them apart, or just don't have science sense level beyond 5th or 6th grade, yes, this sled had a very simple retractable rope system (see photos). Just have to tie the ends as shown so they don't untie and then loop the rubberband-like string around the little attachment for it underneath the very back of the sled. Once done, the towing rope retracts once let go. For those interested to know, it's manufactured in Europe by company in Czech Republic.
