Ok, so I've had this for a few months but was waiting to review because our initial outing was just not up to what I expected. We started on the slopes of our local 10,000+ foot mountain on a rather kid-friendly slope, however, as is the case in nature, the slope had a lot of moguls and the time we were out it had compacted snow (no fresh powder). popped off after first use. Pops back in but don’t pull hard or it will pop right off. Bought two for each child and both of them did this. For the price, I thought they would have been made better.

The sled is sturdy and if the steering wheel would stay on I could probably give a better review. However when my grandson went down the hill and tried to steer it came off. That would have been a dangerous situation if he had gotten any closer to the trees.

We received 2 of these and both were missing the steer wheel. Advertised that it is attached for shipping. The second one also was missing other parts as well. Seeing this is common so surprised this issue hasn’t been corrected.

Bought this for my 11 year and he is small for his age. The steering wheel kept popping off just like other reviews said,, seat is very uncomfortable and not easy to sit on. Front end sinks into snow and doesn’t really go down hill. Definitely not worth the price or any amount of money for that matter…the sled might be good for a toddler if they can stay on the seat without falling off. Returning this item for sure and getting a basic real sled like i should have done in the first place. Very…

The sled works as advertised but the size of the seats are very small. If I was to put 2 children on it they would have to be pretty small kids so not sure how they would control it unless they knew how to steer. The sled does move bery fast on packed snow! You have to pull it by the string, don't pickup or pull back on the steering wheel as it just pops off. I'm 5'2 and rode it but it wasn't comfortable as my legs were way to long.

I only rated it a four at this time because it was given as a gift to grandsons who live in Maryland. We are waiting for some snow to fall so it can be tested it out.I will update this review after it does. They were very excited and it was very sturdy looking and colorful in the red!

Great sturdy sled and we've seen it used. However, as noted by the complaints about lack of retractable towing rope/string, the product is in bad need of better instructions. Maybe the rope/string was attached and came apart during shipping, so probably could use adding something to the instructions about how to reattach so it works. For all those out there that aren't gearheads, never really tinkered with anything, never really put things together or took them apart, or just don't have science
