I have other similar products, this style is better because the bolt holes are actual holes not slots. I have bolted the slotted version on my 1-1/4" hitches and had the U bolt deform due to the ability of the bolt to move in the slot when you 'overtighten'. I can't use those deformed u-bolts now on my 2" hitch. These don't have slots, and stay in the correct shape. I will purchase these again, not the slotted version.
