So I got these to secure/tighten up my hitch extender to eliminate any wobble but the u-bolt wouldn't even fit over the body of the extender and both the hitch extender AND this hitch tighter are the same brands.Toptow! Bad design!

Solid item, used it to keep a hitch mount bike rack from wobbling around. Does what I needed to for half the price of other options.

Use for taking the wobble out of my very heavy e-bike hitch. Seems to work fine. I took off one star for sturdiness because i really haven't put the product through a thorough test yet.

Bought these hitch tighteners to take out some slop from a cheap motorcycle carrier and it did what it was meant to do. Thanks for attention.

Nothing to dislike.used it to secure my 2'/3'ft hitch carrier which in turn held my 110qt yeti cooler 125lbs with ice.it took ALL the sway and loseness out of the hitch to the point that I felt that it was WELDED to the frame of my truck.Also gave me peace of mind against the snatch&grab thief's

Product came on time and undamaged which is always good. This product is a necessity not a luxury. Especially if you're hauling a motorcycle on a motorcycle rack. It prevents a lot of wobbling and looseness in the assembly which will only get worse in time. This product is worth its weight in gold. It does an excellent job!

I had a problem with taking this off my hitch. The u bolt bent at the corners ( maybe I overtightened it on installation?). It made removing the heavy plate difficult. I was able to straighten the u bolt with out damaging the threads. But I have a feeling this will happen again.

I have an old bike rack and an old hitch cargo carrier. I've always just lived with the fact that they sway a little while driving, not a huge deal, but less than optimal. This completely solves the issue. My only wish is that it was possible to install/remove without tools - for now, I keep a wrench in the door-pocket of my truck.

These are great! Always seems like tow hitches are to loose and rattle. No more metal clingy with these . Absolutely love them

So far this product seems to be strong and sturdy. Attached it to my hitch cargo basket to keep it from moving on a trip. Will update after trip to tell how well it held up.

I was going to make one, but after ordering and receiving these I don't need to. Heavy duty with thick aluminum and the finish looks more corrosion resistant than the flash zinc, it looks sort of galvanized or phosphate coated. Torque to 50lbs don't use an impact.

I have a cargo carrier and it rocks a bit if I don't use this hitch tightener. Recently when traveling I used this on my cargo carrier and at some point during the drive my hitch pin/lock came off. Not sure how. It is a locking pin, but still came off. I bought a locking pin set from Masterlock and it did not stay on. Thank goodness I was only using the cargo carrier and not hauling a trailer. Although the pin came out the cargo carrier stayed on thanks to the hitch tightener.

These seem to be good products at a great price but I received them with parts missing. There should be 2 u-bolts, 2 plates, 4 flat washers, 4 lock washers and 4 nuts. I only received 2 nuts. OK, not a big deal. go to the hardware store. The thing is that this raised my cost by $1.64. So it was not a savings over the other products on Ebay which looked to be slightly better quality

It works. No more aggravation from a rattling hitch. Easy to install. Well made; high quality materials. Only downside is it will take longer to insert or remove the hitch from the receiver. I'll gladly accept that tradeoff for a quieter tow.

I have other similar products, this style is better because the bolt holes are actual holes not slots. I have bolted the slotted version on my 1-1/4" hitches and had the U bolt deform due to the ability of the bolt to move in the slot when you 'overtighten'. I can't use those deformed u-bolts now on my 2" hitch. These don't have slots, and stay in the correct shape. I will purchase these again, not the slotted version.
