The ideal guide for the JessEm board, however, the center of the MDF must be included for a more precise milling.

This template is a perfect match for the JessEm 02310 Rout-R-Lift II plate. My only complaint, though more of a recommendation, is that the center of the MDF cutout is also included so the router doesn't fall off center when you do the final fine routing on your routing chart. Check out my video. This shows the ideal depth of cut down the center to keep your router from bending. It's important that you use the same double sided tape I used or equivalent to get an exact depth match between your MDF template and the 2/3 inch melamine non-slip center shaft.
