Review on 🔧 DURAMIC 3D Filament: Unleashing Flexibility in Additive Manufacturing by Joseph Marshall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good Reliable Soft TPU Thread

I really liked the parameters indicated on the reel. 220°C at the hot end and 65°C on the build plate. I printed directly onto spring steel as TPU adheres too well to some bed surfaces. This material flexes easily and prints durable objects. It appears to respond well to partial cooling to bridge and mitigate strain without loss of adhesion. Unlike almost any other filament, it is recommended to remove the TPU beforehand while layer and filament are still warm, layer temperature is 50-55°C. It should peel off easily. Whatever you're printing on, it's a good idea to use a release agent, e.g. a glue stick, to avoid damaging the build surface when removing the part. This TPU filament is soft, making it ideal for printing sharp objects that are usually broken. When it prints it's really glossy black, so my fridge batarang looked great. The sharp parts are easy to bend and do not sting. Duramic continues to offer superior reliability and value in 3D printing with TPU, PLA and PETG filaments.
