Before the price, that's how it works! The kits came with different size hose fittings than my truck so I went out and bought all the fittings and used injector clamps which provide a tighter seal than worm gear clamps. Make sure you use thread tape to prevent leaks. I used a Baldwin B2 filter as it came highly recommended and all in all I spent about $70. Hopefully this will clean up my transmission and allow me to drive less on the road. I installed it on top of the frame beam behind my skid plate and this should provide additional cooling for the system as well as an easy place to connect a hose for the upcoming transmission flush. One thing should be mentioned: there are ridges. inside the case left over from machining. They're small enough to eventually come loose and be covered in oil, so I took a small round file and cleaned it by spraying it with compressed air before installing it and inserting it into the coolant lines. Enter it again before installing it. I will put this case on all my future cars. UPDATE 5/13/2020 My shifts are much smoother after about 500 miles. I have yet to upgrade to a transmission oil block, if I do I'll be glad I did! Much easier access to the drain at the remote location of the filter rather than dropping the transmission pan. I will most likely change the sump filter at some point, but as long as there aren't any large debris in the sump I don't need to as this filter will catch over 30 times smaller particles.
