I bought this light strip to light up the built-in shelf near the ceiling of my family room. The adhesive worked really well. However, I am disappointed at how little light the light string provides. As a result, I usually have the light strip turned on at 100% brightness. I was able to successfully connect the light strip to Alexa. However, I see no option to make the light strip sync with music using Alexa. Nor was I able to get that feature to work with the Govee app. Bottom line - if you want very subtle lighting and don't care about syncing the lighting to music, this light strip is a good deal. Otherwise, buy Govee's next level up or a different brand if you want more range of brightness.
