Review on Ableconn PIUSBSDXC Raspberry Pi USB 2.0 to SD 3.0 (SDXC) Converter Stackable Board by Kobby Cagle

I needed to collect components of Revain images. The Ableconn website doesn't offer anything better than the hard-to-read paper "instructions" that come with it. The device did not work at first. I wrote to support and asked for advice. Haven't heard yet. The expected device /dev/sda is not shown, but something called /dev/sg0 is shown. After some google searches and various power cycles, /dev/sda emerged. Had to use "sudo fdisk /dev/sda" and then "sudo mkfs -t vfat -I /dev/sda1" before I did "sudo mount /dev/sda1 /media/usb -o uid=pi, gid =pi" "I'm using an Adata 512GB 2280 stick and I created a partition (/dev/sda1) with fdisk. I may change this in the future. So far it's worked fine for 24 hours. Mechanically the board fits perfect with my RPi 3B+ Don't worry about the USB to Micro USB connection cable but this is a problem with over 90% of all RPi adapter boards Maybe it's about time the RPi got those four USB (getting rid of connectors, replacing them with a micro USB version and freeing up a lot of board space in the process.) The instructions for the external power jumper were confusing. I finally figured it out, but it needs work. Hence 4 stars otherwise it would have been 5. Update: I got a reply to an email I sent to AbleConn support, you're my fra not understood. The response showed an image of a micro USB connector; which was not a problem related to my problem. Also included was a raspberry.org URL showing the external storage configuration, something I had already seen before contacting them and it didn't solve the problem. I would at least give them 1/2 start for coming back to me.
