After fiddling around for about 30 seconds, it clicked. It probably works fine on cars with a "regular" filler tube. I have a '63 Ford Galaxie 500, the spout is in a smaller hole and the lid just doesn't work. I don't want him to fall at high speed and hit someone. I just don't have the patience or inclination to play around with this cover on this machine. But that should work fine on another vehicle with more turning space around the injectors!?
