Review on Sockwell Women's Circulator Compression Sock with Moderate Graduated Support by Joseph Long

Doesn't swell when flying

*****UPDATE 7/11/19****** I've worn these socks regularly on all my flights over the past few years I haven't had any swelling issues of the lower extremities, regardless of the duration of the flight. These are my travel socks. - Original Review - - I am an active travel agent. About 5 years ago I first experienced severe swelling in my legs and ankles during a 17 hour flight. The swelling wouldn't let go of me all week and when I got home it was even worse. Full recovery takes a couple of weeks. I have the same problem now on shorter flights and travel too often to deal with the painful swelling. I had heard about compression stockings, so I explored my options at Revain. Sockwell seemed to get the best and most consistent reviews so I ordered a pair for my recent trip to Costa Rica a few weeks ago. It was almost a 7 hour flight and when we landed I had absolutely no swelling but there is a nuance. Both outbound and outbound, my flight was half full, so I had quite a few rows and was able to move around the cabin with ease. I think the socks were a big part of the lack of swelling, but I also have to wonder if they would have been just as effective if I was pinned to my chair with my knees bent and lowered to a normal sitting position for a full 7 hours. ? I am ordering a few more pairs and will be trying them out on a trip to Mexico and Jamaica over the next few months. I'll update as needed, but for now I'm very happy with the results. ** The fit was perfect. I am a woman with shoe size 9.5 and ordered a small/medium size. I have narrow feet and relatively skinny calves/ankles.**
