After the first use, small splinters of wood began to fall off. I applied several coats of mineral oil over several days to hydrate the wood. Pretty dry as it absorbs quickly. Reused and surface roughness increases all over the plate. Pros: The board is shaped just right to slide easily into my Ooni pizza oven. The board itself looks great. Cons: The pizza won't start once the wood starts peeling again. Applying more mineral oil or even grinding will not restore.
