I injured my wrist and couldn't use the manual can opener I had, Hamilton Beach got me out of a lot of pain with no difficulty. maybe from above. You simply prick the glass and remove your hand from the "control cap". It automatically moves across the top and turns off when the can is fully open. The magnet will hold the top until you remove it. The lace/lace is detachable so you can wash it in hot water. This would be very helpful for the elderly with arthritis or any kind of stiffness. I'm glad I bought it.
