Happy with the purchase. At the beginning of the review I would like to inform you that this is not my first purchase of a carafe. However, this is my first purchase of a decanter without a crystal. I bought this to store my perfume as my other decanters are lead crystal and only used for parties. I could immediately distinguish this glass carafe from my crystal carafes. There is no glitter. I believe this is pressed glass, not cut glass, and the stitching is visible on each edge of this carafe. The cork is hollow and has a ribbed piece of plastic that forms a seal when in use. Is it a quality item that you want to show off to your friends? no However, for the price I think it's good value for those on a budget looking to decant their spirits. The cork closes very well and I didn't notice the cork popping or popping as other reviewers have pointed out. Like my crystal decanters, I can turn it upside down and it won't leak. I would recommend this product to anyone buying a carafe in this price range (I paid $10.99).
