Review on 🔵 Akebono ACT1094 Proact High-Performance Ceramic Disc Brake Pad kit, in GREY by Samuel Hansen

This is the second set of pads for my 2006 Nissan Xterra. The Akebono kit includes stainless steel spring clamps and V-springs. The "V" springs spread the pads and separate them from the brake discs after the brake is applied. Previous pads that I have purchased from another manufacturer did not include the additional hardware that comes with this kit. The pads were the perfect replacement. They come with general instructions stating that replacing the spring and clamping parts is a must. After replacing the brake pads, you must handle the brakes "carefully" for a few miles until the pads wear out according to the rotor wear pattern. Badly scratched rotors should be removed and rotated at your local auto parts store to smooth them out.
