With the red dot he is always ready to play!

Our pup loves when we get the red dot laser toy. We've been using it for a few months now and it never gets boring. It was a great way for him to exercise and release some of his energy when it's too cold, too hot or we're too tired to go on an outdoor adventure. He gets excited when he sees the toy even before we turn it on. It then chases it non-stop up and down the corridor, under the table like an obstacle course, in circles wherever we point, while enthusiastically wagging its tail. Then, after some play, he is tired enough to be quiet - see photo of dog dozing after play. For him, this is the ultimate toy. He will drop everything to chase the point. (If our pup grabs something he shouldn't chew and puts it in a hard-to-reach place, we can pull out the pointer to distract him from the forbidden object so we can grab it and move away from his reach.) This is a great pointer model, especially for the price. It's lightweight and fits in your pocket. There is a lanyard. USB charging works great - no handling of batteries (cost savings and less time to recycle or recharge). Charging via USB is enough for a long time and for many gaming sessions. The controls for turning on and off or adjusting are easy to use. A few words about the various other shapes that are displayed (butterfly, smiley face, star, mouse) - we don't use them often, if at all. The dot can indicate a great distance. Other shapes become less and less distinct the further you point at them, and don't appear as well unless the room is darker. But they are ok, certainly not distracting from the design. We've also made little use of other colors of light - white or blue - which are like a flashlight. But I think it would be nice to have those options. Great toy! I have recommended him to friends with puppies. Very glad I found it. After we found out how much he likes it we bought a second one so we could always charge it or take it to the office on a puppy trip or whatever. Inexpensive, commonly used toy.
