When I picked up my trailer I saw this lock on the wall but because they wanted double what Revane paid for them I ordered here and I'm glad I did I did - so the return went smoothly. While this lock is thicker and heavier, it's not quite what you envision for your order. A mortise lock will not work parallel to a flat surface. So when you push the mortise lock mechanism into the lock body, the shank goes in at a slight angle. This makes it impossible to fully insert the mortise lock actuator into the torso before it begins to jam and jam, preventing the rod from even getting into the locked position. t are aligned, but after trying to lock it at any angle (even trying different technical positions with my tongue😕), and even trying to push the locking lever into the pendant to avoid possible extra pressure on the levers unfortunately was useless - we sent them back thinking we didn't want to go through that every time we need to lock the trailer. I have purchased several master locks of the same style to replace and they have been installed correctly for ease of use with immediate satisfaction. . Not only the main lock, the plunge lock worked smoother, the hole that goes over the trailer lock was cut smaller, and the lock body is not as thick and is made of stainless steel rather than chrome plated copper/brass. Never buy Trimax again!
