Review on Norpro Nonstick Pancake Rings Piece by Mary Deng

Terrible design - falls apart and will not lay flat unless individual rings are used

I can't understand how so many people have left positive reviews EXCEPT that the manufacturing process has recently changed. The item I received is very thin, the rings are loose and easily fall off with regular use. The grip is low, wide, intrusive, and the worst thing is cheap plastic that isn't held in place by a spring on two mounting ring holes. You pick it up and it falls apart in your pan. Finally, the design is silly because when the four rings are assembled, there's still a large gap between the bottom of the rings and the pan, allowing semi-liquid material like a raw egg or pancake mix to spill out until it hardens. You should start with a very hot pan and gradually fill it up - in this case the handle gets in the way. Great idea if someone could come up with a well thought out design that would actually work. but it's garbage. threw mine away
