Handle melted on first use

Should have read another review first. I have experienced many of the same problems. The first time I used the rings, I covered the pan so the eggs set faster. The heat melted the handle making it useless and I had to find a workaround for Rube Goldberg, not very good. I've also noticed leakage outside of the rings and some eggs getting stuck in soapy water after washing the rings.

Buy something else.

When I received the box, I immediately realized that it was a poor quality product. I'm usually happy with my purchases from Revain, but not with this one. From the photo it appears to be a durable, cast-iron, one-piece object. Not so. It consists of six parts and almost doesn't stick together. With a cheap plastic handle that barely holds. Definitely disappointed. Looks like it's from a dollar store. Rip off. I will return it for slightly better quality.

Not heat resistant, no instructions

If you use the plastic handle AFTER you've removed the rings from the oven, maybe it CAN handle the heat. There are no instructions for this, so you have to remove the melted plastic from the ring holder and make a new handle out of metal wire. Likewise. The rings aren't fully non-stick, so there will be more of them than expected (I've only tried them with eggs so far). These rings are more economical and cost about half the price.

Handle not heat resistant

First Use - I used my new electric skillet to boil eggs on a gentle setting at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Before the eggs were ready to be flipped, the handle melted and fell into the eggs. The handle is melted at both ends where the shaft goes through the annular shell. The eggs were spoiled and I had to scrape the melted bits of plastic out of the pan. The box says the pen is heat resistant, but it doesn't last long before melting. The manufacturer should be aware that this is a design issue…

The rings work great but the handle has melted

I really like this item but I can't give it 5 stars because the handle has melted. I mean it's plastic on metal that needs to be heated. The handle should be metal and comfortable to the touch so that it can be handled without burns. The first time I used it to make two pancakes for my little one it was great. The second time I used it on a pan was to cook about 6 pancakes in our pan on the stove and noticed the plastic handle felt very hot making it awkward to use. The rest of the rings work…

Only if I was paid to buy it would it be worth the price.

Four rings that pop more than pancakes. If you want a non-stick coating, spend a few bucks more and make one out of wood. It will be easier to clean with it. Plastic is not for cooking. According to the description "easily disassembled for cleaning and compact storage". Taking them apart is useless. They still won't fold or interlock, resulting in a messy pile of metal rings. It's better to fasten together anyway, everything in the kitchen is flat, put it on a baking sheet or in a pan under the

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some little things

I can't understand how so many people have left positive reviews EXCEPT that the manufacturing process has recently changed. The item I received is very thin, the rings are loose and easily fall off with regular use. The grip is low, wide, intrusive, and the worst thing is cheap plastic that isn't held in place by a spring on two mounting ring holes. You pick it up and it falls apart in your pan. Finally, the design is silly because when the four rings are assembled, there's still a large gap…

Simply put, it doesn't work. I tried using this product to make eggs and pancakes both dishes were ruined. let me explain. I poured the eggs into the ring and rolled the eggs from the bottom and spread them all over the pan I thought well maybe the pancakes are soft let's try the pancakes because they are denser. Also, part of the test flowed out from below (but not enough to ruin the shape), it stuck to the ring, which led to a series of unpleasant events. 1. The dough that slipped under the…
