Review on Adapter Bracket Monitors H226HQL Pending by Will Rahman

Cool idea, not perfect but gets the job done

This really gives me what I need - the ability to mount monitors on a VESA monitor stand - but it's not perfect. For one, the insert doesn't fully fit into the monitor stand's slot like the OEM stand does. I would not use these brackets to mount the monitor sideways let alone upside down as there is no guarantee the monitor will not just fall off them. Luckily I only need mine upright. The mount inevitably requires a lot of space between the VESA mount and the back of the monitor, as there must be room for cables. This turns the mount into a large spring that amplifies any vibration of whatever the mount is attached to, making the monitor very springy when placed on a monitor stand attached to a table. a leg at one end and two plastic nuts to adjust the length of the arm. You need to insert this lever between the top of the bracket and the back of the monitor by pressing the rubber foot against the monitor and adjusting the length of the bracket with the plastic nuts. Unfortunately, there are two problems with this arm: First, the leg seems to fall off quite easily. Second, since the leg is not articulated, it is very inconvenient to attach at least some of the monitor models this arm was designed for. In my case, I can't stretch my arms out until I need them to tuck them in nice and tight. Long story short, I can only dampen the jump so much because the dampers that came with them don't fit as intended. In the end it gives me what I need, so I'm happy.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Not quite as good as it says
