Good unit overall, best in taillights

I lost my previous Nightrider - fell out of its bracket so had to buy a replacement. I went with this block and I like it better. This machine is very bright. Blink patterns can be very noticeable. I like that it charges much longer (up to 10 hours according to the docs) and I only have to charge it every other ride. I'm not very keen on reloading that often. my much older device needed a battery change about once a year and I didn't have to worry about it. I don't like that they have a standard USB charging port - I have to fiddle with the cable to connect it every time. The USB-C port does not have this problem. The rubber tread end doesn't always slide in and out easily to seal out the water, but it's good enough. I went with the hard mount. didn't find it funny because you can't look back and see if this device is on and flashing while driving. It doesn't pivot on the seatpost and I lost my balance trying to test it out and turning the unit on while riding, hit the curb and found myself on the pavement. There's a screw on the fixed bracket that just looks ugly and sticks out too far, which doesn't really bother either. If the device is clogged with dirt from the rear wheel, the buttons and other elements will be nicked, making them difficult to clean. My first block died after about 45 days. The shipper (not Amazon) only stuck to a 30-day return policy and would not deal with me after that (30 days isn't a very long time). They would just put me back to Revane replacing the bad one (thanks for that Amazon).
