One of the best bike lights, plus made in America

I love these bike lights. Extremely bright in daylight when I'm driving. The quality is there, you can see that. I particularly like the heart rate controller and the fixed mount. I like best what is made in America! Jerry Beasley

Gold standard for taillights

Almost the gold standard for taillights. Works great and lasts a long time with multiple flashing patterns. I bought /. The only problem is that when using a pannier strap clip it can come loose on very rough terrain. This is a replacement for a 1 lost that has come loose from the loop on the pannier.

  • Decent performance

good light - poor fit

I have the fixed mount version, not the flex mount version. I asked a question about this product and asked if it would fit the aerodynamic seat. Someone said it would fit an aero seatpost but it does NOT fit. Now I've spent another nine bucks to buy another mount direct from Cygolit so I can use this light. Only answer questions about a product if you KNOW the correct answer. And for God's sake, folks, stop answering "I don't know" questions. It is of no use to anyone!

Excellent light - lights and reflectors

I had a Pro-80 that lasted over five years. Rather than swap out the battery ($20), I decided to buy this one (which is brighter, although there were plenty of 80's). In fact, I appreciate the extra lumens as I can easily see that my rear view mirror is positioned correctly as I can clearly see the illuminated road behind me. I use it as the main tail light. It uses the same attachment system, which is excellent. I wouldn't buy anything else. Cygolite products are excellent. (I also use this…

Keep coming back to Cygolite

This is my third Cygolite rear light. The first collapsed in an accident, the second got into the salty winter water and died. I tried another brand of light which was fine but I went back to Cygolite. Really bright, lots of patterns, programmable, big batteries (enough for my 8-9 hour ride every weekend). Definitely recommend to everyone. This model is bright enough for daytime use and definitely bright enough for nighttime road driving. An "always on" flashing mode that alternates between…

light lost! Fixing system could be improved

This is actually a great light that makes you very visible. Ideal for commuters and possibly racing cyclists. Unfortunately, the fastening system for the fixed-mount version doesn't hold the seatpost very well and occasionally moves the light off-axis even when fully tightened. I was recently riding my bike and somehow the light fell out of the mounting clip and I lost it. I drove during the day and didn't realize it until it was too late. I'm also very confident that I installed it correctly…

Don't worry about other taillights. That's great.

This lamp is really great. I have never seen a bike taillight that offers such high visibility even in bright sunlight. It can be too bright on higher settings for night driving, to be honest, but you can easily dim it. I can't believe all the pathetic bike lights I see don't get your attention in a meaningful way. When you consider a bicycle taillight, you clearly think about your safety. Before you buy a $12 light or anything else, ask yourself if your safety and life is worth the extra…

Good unit overall, best in taillights

I lost my previous Nightrider - fell out of its bracket so had to buy a replacement. I went with this block and I like it better. This machine is very bright. Blink patterns can be very noticeable. I like that it charges much longer (up to 10 hours according to the docs) and I only have to charge it every other ride. I'm not very keen on reloading that often. my much older device needed a battery change about once a year and I didn't have to worry about it. I don't like that they have a…

The best out there!

It never ceases to amaze me how many people complain about products when they are too lazy to read instructions or visit a company's website. Who would try to install a "round" mount on an aero seatpost? All you have to do is look at the photos (attached) directly from the Cygolite website. If you have an aero seatpost, you want the flexible rubber mount version, not the rigid mount. Someone else claimed it had a narrow beam. Just look at this photo from our surveillance camera. Does it seem…
