4 stars out of 5 as the heads are slightly off center which can make alignment difficult. I think the gentleman who said they were 3/8 inch long misunderstood the product. Mine were almost 1/2 inch measured from the base of the head to the top. As for use with 1/2" drawer slides, the drawers I make are 13mm Baltic Birch plywood, sanded to about 15/32". The first slides I installed resulted in a noticeable bulge on the inside of the drawer but didn't protrude. Since they were so close I used scraps of plywood and screwed in 15 screws at a time, then flipped them over and sanded the ends. If you need them for the drawer slides on the 1/2" tier, you'll probably need to do the same or buy 7/16" screws instead.
