Review on PT1290 Home and Office Label Printer by Brother by Sean House

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Used in a clinical setting. Bought 1 for home use

Read some reviews. I bought my first one for use at work in a clinical setting, however, and what I really needed was a piece of tape that preceded the tag's tongue: I had to drill holes in the temporal bones, insert a small tie, and then thread it the tag through the tie. Loop for packaging as each specimen had a case number. I have also used the label maker on many other research projects as well as in my office to neatly label files that I have over 2000. This first purchase was over 7 years ago and the printer still works great. I had just retired and moved to another state, so I wanted to get my personal household papers, new business advice papers, and craft papers in order. To do this I simply had to buy another label from the same manufacturer that had such superior performance compared to the one I had just left after retirement. This is a keeper and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one as a gift.

Pros
  • Builds confidence
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
