Review on 🚘 Maxpow 2pcs Hood Lift Supports Shocks Struts - Ford Explorer 2002-2010 4142 8097SS Compatibility (Excluding 2002-2006 Sport Trac) by Walter Devarakonda

These racks didn't quite fit my 2004 Ford Explorer 4WD XLT. They are only a little long when fully folded and actually bent the ball stud when I closed the hood. The picture shows that the Maxpow rack body is almost an inch longer than the OEM 4142, although the overall length when extended is the same. The posts seemed well made, but I wanted to warn you about the length when folded. They are very easy to install. Check length before installation, do not assume they will fit although others have had better results.
