I am the first owner of a 2013 Nissan Murano SL, yes, all the trimmings. With 70,000 miles on the Autobahn, the car drives like new. At a recent service, the dealership charged $250 for a CVT fluid flush/change. What? My gear oil should last a lifetime. Of course I refused, and it turned out that I was wrong. After some research I decided to do it myself. It's actually easier than changing the oil if you drain and refill the oil. After loosening the drain nut, 4 liters of genuine Nissan CVT fluid spilled out. YES, BETTER MEASURE IT. Fill in 4 liters of Castrol CVT NS-3 certified fluid. There are no miracle chemicals in this original liquid, which costs about $20 per liter. Why spend so much for the same CVT oil? I couldn't believe my eyes when after 70,000 miles I saw dark and smelly liquid coming out of my transmission, burnt carbon smell I'm sure. I want to change this CVT fluid every 30,000 miles. Castrol CVT fluid is bright red in color. Look at the photos
