My previous setup was a Dell U2410 and U2412 mounted on a dual monitor stand. I've used this setup for many years, but it's always been a distraction that the bezel separates the two screens. Even though I had a quality stand installed over my desk that held the monitors securely, it always seemed like one monitor ended up being slightly modified from the other. Finally, the colors on the two monitors were not entirely accurate. So I was happy to see that 38 inch ultra wide monitors are now something special and I could get one to replace my dual monitor setup. "" instead due to significant cost savings, but I'm glad I didn't. A 34" would seem like a significant reduction in screen real estate, while a 38" wouldn't. I've come up with a number of Unknowns continued, I'm not sure how the new setup would compare to my old dual monitor setup Overall the experience has been extremely positive The overall width of the single 38" monitor is slightly smaller than my dual 24 , but the overall height is slightly larger .More pixel density on the 38. Doesn't feel like I'm missing out on a productive workspace.Anyway the extra height feels like a win.The pixel density is higher but the fonts are for still readable to me. No more annoying center box my workspace If I need an ultra wide window, I can make a very wide window. The curvature takes some getting used to. D he video quality is excellent. One thing I don't like is the layout of the input connectors. I found it very difficult to look under the monitor and connect anything. Basically I had to drag it to the edge of the table, lay on the floor and look up with a flashlight. Ports on the back would be much more practical. Often you have to connect and disconnect something. The stand wobbles a little when you reach up to yourself, for example. p and press the menu buttons. My old dual monitor desktop arm was much sturdier. However, the monitor stand gives me more control over raising/lowering and tilting, and I don't have to drill a hole in my desk like my old stand required. I'm sticking with the kickstand despite occasional hesitation in setting up the controls. In terms of workflow, I'll have to get used to the fact that I can no longer drag a window onto the screen and maximize it. I think there is software that might even come with the monitor to help organize it.
