We do it quite normally, even with good jigs. This will help minimize splitting and scratching of the wood. The tape really helped with a jig that didn't move. I like this device, it did what I wanted it to do. It became easier to align holes in an old metal door without a wood core. And speeds up the installation for drilling wooden doors. And he has to do that.
