I'm still working on learning all the nuances of the scope but for now everyone agrees that the glass is clear enough since at a distance of about 10 yards to 200 yards from 20x to 60x. So far I've used it extensively to analyze the results of 5.56 NATO shots and even at a distance of 200 meters the image was very clear. The holes were clearly visible. The sight was not that difficult, even much easier than expected. I didn't use the tripod that came with it as I have much better tripods that I use with my cameras. The scope still twitched a bit at all focal lengths, especially at 60x. So if you mount it on a solid base (no or no wind) and can look inside without touching the scope or tripod, the image is reasonably stable.
