Most Viper alarms require this remote to be programmed to channel 2. Follow these steps to program the remote control.1. Sit in the driver's seat and open the driver's door.2. Put the key in the ignition and turn the key to the "on" position (do not start the engine, turn it to the position that turns on all the electronics in your car)3. Press the button on your alarm receiver ONCE, THEN PRESS THE BUTTON DOWN FOR ONE SECOND UNTIL YOU HEAR THE ALARM SEVERAL TIMES, THEN RELEASE THE BUTTON ON THE RECEIVER. (The location may vary greatly depending on where it was installed, but after detection, there should only be one button on the receiver) 4. Immediately after releasing the button on the receiver, press the lock button on the swap key.5. Turn the key back to the off position and remove it from the ignition. (You should hear the beep a few more times)6. Close the driver's door and press the lock button on the remote control to check. After completing the steps above, your new remote should be programmed to work with any other remote previously programmed for your alarm. If you don't succeed at first, try a few times and eventually you will succeed.
