It's a great second screen to take with you on the go or just use with your laptop. It should fit a 17 inch laptop perfectly. Overall, it's slightly larger than my current 15.6-inch HP notebook, but it's almost the same size as my old 15-inch Dell notebook. So if your laptop bag fits an older 15-inch model, or almost any 17-inch model, there's a good chance this monitor will fit in the same bag as your laptop (it fits mine). In terms of weight, the panel is not very heavy, but it isn't either. very light, weighs 3 lb 9 oz. The monitor comes with 2 USB-C cables, an HDMI cable, a powerful USB-C power adapter and a beautiful magnetic folding case/stand. On top of that, the USB-C cables need to be longer because with the display positioned correctly on my desk, the USB-C cable barely reaches the floor and doesn't reach far enough to actually connect to the power adapter. However, I will not lower the price of the monitor for this, since in most cases you don't really need a power supply. Support for PD or USB-C displays could still power the monitor on its own. After connecting the USB-C port and the HDMI port, the monitor worked great and the picture quality is actually better than the panel built into my laptop (and an inch larger). It's also really nice that this panel is 1920 x 1080, as many lower-end laptops only have 1366 x 768 or 1600 x 900 panels. Windows recognized it immediately and I didn't have to make any configuration changes. The built-in speakers also work and sound louder than in my laptop, but don't have as much bass. Essentially the speakers are better than average for this type of panel but still not what I would call fantastic but I really didn't expect them to be in this form factor. Since none of my home laptops support a USB-C display, I was only able to test the HDMI connection. Another really nice feature of this panel is the inclusion of a USB OTG port on the left side just above the power button. This can be handy for connecting mice etc, and also means you don't completely lose the functionality of your laptop's USB-C port if you use it to power the panel. The only problem is that you need a USB OTG to USB-A adapter, which is not included. Since I usually carry it with my laptop, I was able to test it with a wireless mouse receiver and the connection worked fine. As a side note, if you check the back of the panel, it has four VESA mounts. Holes according to template 75x75mm. So if you decide, you can easily attach these to any mounting plate. Although I find this panel to be a bit pricey, the portability, feature set and picture quality are good and I think it does the job very well so I have no hesitation in recommending it.
